Does anyone know a site where I can find all the results etc for the every single season there has been a English Top Flight League? I feel like researching it and posting it on here.
Cheers
Dave
P.S. Probably best to email me at famousdaveyc@hotmail.com if you find the site.

I used soccerbase when I was writing my university dissertation - it's excellent.
Something you mind find useful though is an all-time English League Table (for every club to have played League football) at:
stats.football365.com/hist/overall/attable.html
- they might have already done what you were intending to, although of course that depends what you were intending to do!
F365 is quite a good football site generally I find, especially the "Mediawatch" column...a bit like Private Eye but devoted entirely to football.
Interesting entries include Leeds City in 107th and Middlesborough Ironopolis in 144th!

Well basically, what I am trying to do is what has been done for the international side of things but if it has been done already I might give up. I am in 1928 at the moment but I am sure that it is wrong because www.soccerbase.com does not list any divisions other than the higher one in the 20s.

Done it. Everton are most frequent holders. Working on finding out who has held it for the most matches (cumulative). The Championship wasn't relegated in the 20's, so the fact that soccerbase doesn't have any divisions below 1 is irrelevent.
