16/08/06 Egypt 0-2 Uruguay
Uruguay retained the UFWC title with a two-goal win over a depleted Egypt side. The first goal was a diving header from Cerro defender Diego Godin, and the second was an own-goal from Abdel Al-Saqqa. Egypt, without key players including star man Mido, created several good chances, but have now failed to win a match since winning the African Nations championships. Uruguay, meanwhile, have gone six games without defeat.

Uruguay's side was pretty depleted too. Jesus they missed regular starters: Recoba, Perez, Chevanton, Vargas, Lugano, Viera (though Carini seems to have taken his spot).
Out of the 11 starters for the last game only 7 are "semi" or "full" starters.
