After beating Manchester United, Liverpool were unbeaten in their remaining 9 games winning 8 of them to win the 2008/09 unofficial title.
After losing to City, Villa went on a losing run losing 3 and drawing 3 of their next 6 matches before beating Hull City on 4/5. From their remaining 3 matches, Hull lost, drew and then lost to 'win' the 2008/09 unofficial wooden sthingy.
