Out of interest: why are St. Martin's games not counted for the CONCACAF title and sthingy? I understand why you wouldn't count them for the UFWC if they're not FIFA members, but they are CONCACAF members so why not let them play in title and sthingy matches in that specific region?

Well, that's probably because we adapted the rules for continental unofficial champions from unofficial world championchip.
However, in the meantime Macau failed to offload the world and AFC w00den sp00n once again as they lost 7-1 against Chinese Taipei. Their next attempt will be on 12th October in Kaoshiung against the Phillipines.
Next UFWC match: Today (Egypt vs. Niger, men's unofficial CAF champion)

Because St Martin aren't a member of FIFA, FIFA do not recognise their games. For all the UFWC competitions, games must be FIFA-sanctioned in order to count.
Niger's stunning win over Egypt means that they are African champions for the first time ever. Their first defence will probably be their next African Nations Cup qualifier- against Sierra Leone in March next year.

Australia's women beat Taipei 1-0 to qualify for the final of the Peace Cup. Unless they face South Korea in the final, which is very unlikely, their next defence of the Asian women's UFC will not be for a while.
Next match overall is thus United States v Haiti (women's world and Concacaf titles) on October 28th. Unless the Americans lose, they will equal China's record of 48 successful defences in a row - the overall record for any stint as champions of any continent (male or female). See the original post on this thread for more details.

The only way, South Korea will make it to the final is if England and New Zealand play a goalless (!) draw - and even in this case it's a coin-toss, because all teams will then have 1 point and 0 goals for and against So it's VERY unlikely, that the australian girls defend their title in the peace cup final. Newly scheduled games (all Men): Liechtenstein will play Estonia in Talinn on 17th November (Friendly) Japan will play Jordan in Doha on 9th January (Asian Cup) Niger will play Sierra Leone on 25th March (Cup of Nations qualifier) Uzbekistan will play Jordan on 2nd January (Asia Cup)

Amazingly enough, the exact scenario that we previously said was very unlikely happened!! England and New Zealand drew 0-0, and South Korea won the lucky dip for a place in the final. So Australia do have to defend their women's Asian title once more after all; against South Korea tomorrow.

Now, thats unlucky. Their opponent gets decided by drawing lots and they get the only one out of three, who can challenge them for AFC title - and then they loose 1-2...
