Not for the first time, Andrés D'Alessandro played an important role in a Recopa Mundial. The Argetine midfielder despatched a 61st minute penalty kick for the only goal of the game, as his side Internacional dethroned arch rivals Grêmio as trophy holders. While not enough to secure Inter a spot in next year's Copa Libertadores - the last ticket went to Flamengo who denied Vasco da Gama the league title in the process - it does make the Porto Alegre side the unofficial best club among the elite band of (former) Club World Champions at the turn of the year.
The preliminary schedule for Recopa Mundial 2012 starts with a 5 February clash between the same two sides. Or, probably more precisely, between the same two clubs. That tie will be played at Grêmio's home ground and will count towards next year's Campeonato Gaúcho.

What about WORLD'S Recopa Mundial?
Gremio had defeated Internacional in Campeonato Gaucho (22 feb), but in the next round Inter recover his title in a win over Gremio (29 apr)
Then, in a two legged match in Copa Libertadores, they were defeated by Boca Juniors 1-0 and 1-1
Then, lost against Corinthians in the Finals
So, temporary:

Then, in the Brasileirao 2012, Corintians win over Flamengo and Internacional but lost against Santos which tied against Sao Paulo, win over Flamengo, tied versus Gremio, Inter and Corinthians
So what at the end of 2012 Corinthians 2 points with a total of 7
And Santos finished its year with 5 points more and a total of 23 becoming the top rated Brazilian club
